Hello!  My name is Kathy Spisz and  I have 22 year’s experience in running my in-home daycare.   I’m supervised by the State of Michigan Department of Social Services Child Care Licensing and I’m insured.  I’m also a member of the Oakland County Child Care Association and participate in the Mid-Michigan Child Care Food Program (MMCCFP) which regulates food service.

I’m a Licensed Certified Medical Assistant with experience in Pediatrics and Certified in Infant and Child First Aid & CPR.  My home is inspected annually by the Farmington Hills Fire Department and Building Inspector for fire and home safety.

I’m a member of the Wayne Daycare Providers Association, learning great new ideas from other daycare providers to further the learning experience for my daycare kids.  I’m in the process of earning my CDA certificate and am working towards my associates degree in Early Childhood Education.

I have everything your child needs to be safe and comfortable while in my care.  Please see Daily activity page for things your child will learn while attending Kathy’s Kid’s Daycare.

“Your child care decision is a very important one and I am happy to provide references and to discuss your concerns in person.”

In my home there are several areas dedicated strictly to the children.  There’s a big play area and activities room, a learning center for all our preschool activities, a separate  bathroom for the children and a dedicated yard area for all outside activities.  My home is also equipped with a back-up generator in case of power outages in the area, so we are never without heat or lights.

The play room has a large variety of  developmental toys for infants, toddlers and preschool children and is ready for the many educational activities that we enjoy every day.

The bedroom is located close yet away from the play room, where each infant has their own crib or pac-n-play, which accommodates infants’ unique sleep schedule. For nap time each child has their own sleeping mat, washable sleeping bag, pillows and blankets for nap time comfort.  All bedding is cleaned on a weekly basis or sooner if needed.

The bathroom is used strictly for the children and is equipped with all the necessities for the children that are potty training.

Meals are served in the dining area of the kitchen which has all the accommodations for children of all ages.

The yard has climbing structures, playhouses, swings, and many other activities to provide children with the opportunity to develop a safe and healthy play environment while enjoying free play with their friends.

All children of similar ages are on the same eating and sleeping schedules while accommodations are made to maintain infants unique schedules.  Daily report cards are provided for infants upon request and parents are kept informed on all progress of their little one’s while in my care.

“I love the children that I care for and am committed to providing the care of your child that any parent would be happy with.”
